Annual Bass Fishing Trip
From June 8th to 10th, we hit the waters of Potholes Reservoir in Eastern Washington for a memorable fishing trip under the scorching sun. With temperatures soaring over 100 degrees one day, it was a test of endurance and patience, but the fishing made it all worth it. The crew this time included current Tengu Club members (President) Doug Hanada, Evan Hanada, Guy Mamiya, and myself. Spirits were high, and the bass were biting. I had the early bragging rights, landing a solid 3 lb 8 oz largemouth bass that held the top spot through most of the trip.
But as fishing luck would have it, the lead didn’t last. On the final day, Evan Hanada came through clutch with a beautiful 3 lb 12 oz largemouth, bumping me off the podium and claiming the top fish of the trip. Even with the shift in leaderboard standings, it was a great few days out on the water with good company and plenty of action. Nothing beats time spent fishing with friends, especially when it’s paired with a little friendly Tengu Club competition.
